Prachiti International School Celebrates International Yoga Day with Enthusiasm
Sakri : The students of Prachiti International School, Sakri, celebrated International Yoga Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. To commemorate the occasion, a special assembly was organized, buzzing with positive energy.
The program commenced with a yogic prayer in Sanskrit delivered by the Chief Guest, Shri. Hemant Jadhav. This set the tone for a day focused on inner well-being. Following the prayer, a speech explored the origin of Yoga, its significance, and the reason behind celebrating this day internationally.
The importance of Yoga for school children was then highlighted. Students from grades 1 to 10 took center stage, demonstrating various asanas (postures) specifically beneficial for young people. These demonstrations showcased how Yoga can help students manage stress, improve flexibility, reduce anxiety, enhance concentration, and even combat obesity.
The well-organized program was guided by the collective efforts of Principal Mrs. Vaishali Lade, coordinators Shri. Vaibhav Sonawane and Tushar Deore, and program in-charge Shri. Bhupendra Salunke. Adding a touch of vibrancy, Std VII students performed a captivating Zumba dance choreographed by Mrs. Vaishali Khairnar and Shri. Shravan Ahire.
Sapana Deore Madam’s speech delved into the ancient history of Yoga, further emphasizing its significance. Shri. Tushar Suryawanshi’s anchoring kept the program flowing seamlessly. The assembly concluded with all students practicing pranayama (breathing exercises) followed by meditation and a pledge (Sankalp) to incorporate Yoga into their lives. A rousing rendition of the National Anthem marked the culmination of this inspiring celebration.
