The Ram Raksha Stotra recitation program at Prachiti School was a successful event that celebrated the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The students participated enthusiastically and learned about the significance of the temple and the life of Ram.
Prachiti School in Sakri, Maharashtra, India, organized a Ram Raksha Stotra recitation program on January 22, 2024, to commemorate the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya.
On this occasion, the school’s principal, Vaishali Laade, manager, Tushar Deore, Vaibhav Sonawane, coordinator Vaishali Deore, and Gitanjali Kakuste performed the puja of the statues of Ram (Tanishk Thackeray), Sita (Arohi Desale), Lakshman (Swraj Kankaria), Hanuman (Arv Desale), and Shabari (Tejaswini Khairanar), as well as Ram (Anurag Deshpande- 1st), Sita (Maheshwari Thackeray- LKG), and Lakshman (Parth Sonawane- LKG).
The students of third grade performed a dance based on the song “Ram Aaye Hai” about the life of Ram. This was guided by Rohini Sonawane. The students of seventh grade also performed a Lezim dance, which was guided by Gitanjali Kakuste.
The school also celebrated Diwali. The students were guided by Tushar Suryavanshi to make the name “Jai Shri Ram”.
The event was decorated with beautiful banners written by Bhupendra Salunkhe and beautiful rangolis drawn by Deepmala Madam, Jagruti Madam, Savita Laade, and Vaishali Thorat. On this occasion, a Ram Prabhu procession was taken out to the Ram temple in Sakri. Students from first to tenth grade chanted “Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram”. The students participated in the procession with enthusiasm, singing bhajans and kirtans.
Vaishali Patil gave the introduction. The Ram temple in Ayodhya is built in the traditional Nagara style. The temple is 380 feet long from east to west, 250 feet wide, and 161 feet high. It is three-storeyed, with each floor being twenty feet high. The temple has 392 pillars and 44 doors. The ground floor has a sanctum sanctorum with a statue of the infant Ram. The first floor has a sanctum sanctorum with the Ram Darbar. There are also five mandapas: the dance mandapa, the Rangamandapa, the Sabhamandapa, the Prarthana Mandapa, and the Kirtan Mandapa. Various deities and devas are depicted on the pillars and walls. The temple has a rectangular compound with a length of 732 meters and a width of 425 meters. There are four temples in the four corners of the compound: one for Lord Surya, one for Lord Shiva, one for Ganesha, one for Devi Bhagavati, one for Hanuman in the south, and one for Annapurna Devi in the north. The temple is also near the Sita Kup of mythological times. Manish Borse provided guidance. On the occasion of this event, the school’s founder, Prashant Bhimrao Patil, distributed Mahaprasada. The event was supported by all the teachers, other staff, and drivers.
