Chaupher Website : Innovative world school at Chikhali-Moshi (Pune) organized a cycle trip from Kashmir to Kanyakumari accomplished by 3youths.
The trip began from famous Lal chowk in Srinagar and got over at Kanyakumari crossing through many states of the country. Sports head of J&K, Mr Riyaz inaugurated the trip.
In a very challenging situation of snowfall & strong cold breeze, these youths from Maharashtra took up the challenge to ensure they can succeed in their mission to encourage cycle usage, attention to save earth and unity.
First day, Srinagar to Udhampur. Second day, Udhampur to Raipur.Third day, Raipur to Ratia, Fourth day, Ratia to Fattepur.
Fifth day, Fattepur to Bandhanwara. Sixth day, Bandhanwara to Mandsaur. Seventh day, Mandsaur to Dhar. Eight day,
Dhar to Dhule. Ninth day, Dhule to Aurangabad. Tenth day, Aurangabad to Osmanabad. Eleventh day, Osmanabad to Hungun.
Twelfth day, Hungun to Chitradurg. Thirteenth day, Chitradurg to Hosur Fourteenth day, Hosur to Kanyakumari were completed in 14 days and 11 hours to achieve the feat. Cycle riders covered 3800 KM of distance with occasional injuries, sickness, adverse weather.
Cycle riders shared these golden moments with the kids of the school.During this time, they narrated the thrilling experience of going through one of the largest tunnels, size of around 10 KM. How they meet the minor accident, when some a vehicle struck them from behind, without any fault from their end. Such situations failed to stop their journey, as they hadstrong will to accomplish the goal.
Students asked many questions with great curiosity. Cycle expressions were very joyous in addressing students.
Mr Prashant Patil touched upon the essence of saving the environment from fossil fuel, nature balance and health fitness during the session.
From Innovative world school’s end Dr Sanjay Singh, Mr. Prashant Patil welcomed cycle riders and honoured them with certificates, memorial gifts and statue of great maratha emperor Chatrapati Shivaji maharaj.
