Pimpri: The Pimpri-Chinchwad city BJP has started vigorous preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The city BJP has geared up to reach every citizen of the city with the work done by both the central and state governments before the elections. Accordingly, the “Ghar Chalo Abhiyan” will be launched in the city, and a convention of 528 booth workers from the three mandals of the Chinchwad assembly constituency was held in Rahatani on Thursday to train and guide the booth workers about the campaign.
BJP city president Shankar Jagtap, in his address at the convention, called upon the booth workers to vigorously spread the message of the welfare schemes and development works undertaken by the central and state governments for the benefit of the citizens.
The convention was held in two sessions at the Vimal Garden Banquet Hall in Rahatani. BJP city president Shankar Jagtap, convener of Ghar Chalo Abhiyan Vilas Madgeri, Chinchwad assembly convener Sidheshwar Barane, general secretary Namdev Dhake, Sangvi-Rahatani mandal president Sandeep Nakhate, Wakad-Thergaon mandal president Prasad Kaspate, Rawet-Kalewadi Somnath Bhonde, and assembly chief Kalu Ram Barane were present along with 528 booth workers.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government at the center has made tremendous progress in all sectors of the country in the ten years from 2014 to 2024. The Modi government has done a great job in the areas of poverty alleviation, women empowerment, internal and external security, and has also raised the country’s name at the international level. Similarly, the BJP-ruled states in the country have also made great progress in their respective states.
As the BJP prepares for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, it is ready to tell the story of this development to the grassroots. The BJP intends to win the trust of the people in the Lok Sabha elections. For this, the BJP has decided to launch the “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” in rural areas. The campaign will run from February 4 to 11.
Accordingly, a convention of 528 booth workers from the three mandals of the Chinchwad assembly constituency was held to provide information about the objectives of the “Ghar Chalo Abhiyan”. The booth workers were trained on how to conduct the campaign, what work to do, and how to inform the citizens about the central and state government schemes. In the two-session convention, the booth workers were asked to go door-to-door and interact with the citizens. They were also asked to visit the homes of the citizens who have benefited from the central and state government schemes. The booth workers were also guided on how to organize various programs to create awareness among the citizens. City president Shankar Jagtap appealed to the booth workers to vigorously launch the campaign in the Chinchwad assembly constituency from next Sunday.
In the convention, BJP’s super warrior Umesh Gaikwad was felicitated on his election as the president of Tata Motors Employees Union. The convention was proposed by Vilas Madgeri and the vote of thanks was proposed by Sandeep Nakhate.
